Cranberry Sauce Recipe


1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup orange juice
2 cups cranberries
1 tsp orange zest
cinnamon stick
1/4 tsp allspice
1 tbsp cornstarch

In a pot combine sugar and orange juice/water, bring to boiling, stir to dissolve sugar. Add zest , cornstarch and spices. Boil for 5 mins. Add cranberries.

Reduce heat and continue to boil for 3 to 4 mins or until skins begin to pop. Remove from heat.  Serve at room temp or cool and refrigerate. Remove cinnamon stick.
